Enjoying gifts -gozando os presentes do Natal

I have been enjoying some Christmas gifts. I have finnished the book "Jasmine" and have now started An Everlasting Meal. We got lots of gorgeous chocolates and for some reason I like to use the wrapping as a book mark. It still smells like the chocolate that was inside :) The macaroons was from my dear husband     who heard I would love to have some for Christmas . What a thoughtful guy! Wish I knew how to take good food photos but those macaroons looked good and tasted good too believe me. I am so thankful for all we got. Seeing the children and taking some time to have a nice chat with family is so precious.  Family time is the best present one can get for Christmas! Christmas went by too fast and we are already talking about Valentine's Day. We do not have anything planned for that. What do you usually do for Valentines Day?? I will try to make a nice meal and listen to romantic songs. We usually do not have any shows or any other social events for Valentines Day in such a small town like this. In order to see some broadway shows or a concert you would need to travel a few hours. 

Here it is an activity people seem to enjoy around here. Yes, Ice fishing! No, not me. I would not go in the

middle of a frozen lake for nothing.  However the nice quietness and peace is a gift in itself. My son and husband have been planning to do that soon. 

Macaroons que meu esposo min presenteou e um livro que min deu meu filho e otro minha cunhada e comendo chocolates dado por outra cunhada.  Nesse tempo por aqui os residentes gostam de ir pescar na lagoa congelada. Dirige-se o carro em cima da lagoa e eles fazem um buraco no gelo e pescam.
